How Legendz Protects Your Data and Your CAD Transactions

A plain look at what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you hold as a Canadian player.

Privacy at Legendz

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Every deposit, withdrawal and login at Legendz involves some exchange of personal data. This page explains what we collect, how we secure it, and what control you have over it, specifically as it relates to Canadian players moving CAD in and out of their accounts.

What we collect when you open an account

When you register with Legendz, we ask for the basics: your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number and a physical address in Canada. This is not optional paperwork. It confirms you meet the 19+ minimum age requirement to gamble in your province and lets us route CAD payouts to the right person. Age verification is checked again before any withdrawal request is approved, not just at signup.

Beyond the initial form, our systems log gameplay activity such as bets placed, sessions played and bonus wagering progress. This data feeds directly into how we calculate free spin winnings, welcome package requirements and VIP status. It is not sold or used for anything outside running your account and honouring our promotions.

Verification documents (KYC)

Before your first withdrawal, and sometimes before larger deposits, we run Know Your Customer (KYC) checks. This typically means uploading a government-issued photo ID, a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your Canadian address, and, if you deposit by card, a partial image of that card with the middle digits and CVV covered. If you fund your account through crypto, we may ask for a screenshot confirming wallet ownership.

These checks exist to protect you as much as us. They stop someone else from draining your balance and stop stolen cards or hijacked wallets from being used on the platform. Once a document is verified it is stored securely and is not requested again unless your details change or a payment method is updated.

Securing CAD transactions

Every payment page at Legendz runs over encrypted connections, and card or bank details are never stored in plain text on our servers. Interac e-Transfer deposits are handled through the same encrypted email transfer rails your bank already uses, so your banking credentials never pass through Legendz directly. Card payments (Visa, Mastercard) are tokenised, meaning the full card number is not held on file after the transaction clears.

Crypto deposits (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether) settle on the relevant blockchain, which is public by design. We do not publish or share your wallet address with anyone outside the transaction itself, and internal access to payment logs is limited to staff who need it to resolve support tickets or fraud checks.

How we protect common CAD payment methods
MethodProtection in place
Interac e-TransferEncrypted transfer via your own bank, no credential sharing with Legendz
Visa / MastercardTokenised storage, partial masking of card numbers in support systems
Bitcoin, Ethereum, TetherBlockchain settlement, wallet addresses not shared with third parties
MuchBetterEncrypted wallet-to-wallet transfer, no card data passed to Legendz

Who we share data with

Data is shared only where it has to be. Payment processors need enough information to move CAD between your bank and your Legendz balance. Game providers such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming and NetEnt receive session data required to run the actual slot or live table you are playing, not your identity documents. If we are legally required to disclose information, for example to an anti-fraud or anti-money-laundering authority, we will do so, but this is the exception, not the routine.

Your rights as a player

  • You can request a copy of the personal data Legendz holds on your account
  • You can ask us to correct inaccurate details such as a misspelled name or old address
  • You can request account closure and deletion of data we are not legally required to retain
  • You can withdraw consent for marketing communications without affecting your ability to play
  • You can ask how a specific piece of data, such as a KYC document, is being used

Requests like these go through our support team and are usually actioned within a few business days. Some data, particularly transaction records tied to CAD deposits and withdrawals, has to be retained for a period even after account closure, largely for financial reporting and fraud prevention reasons.

Cookies and browsing data

Like most sites, Legendz uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember display preferences and understand which games and pages get used most. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may log you out or reset saved preferences.

Responsible play and your data

If you set deposit limits, self-exclude, or take a cooling-off break through our tools, that data is used only to enforce the restriction you asked for. It is never used to target you with additional promotional offers. Canada has no single national regulator covering online casinos outside Ontario, so we point every Canadian player to ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600, https://www.connexontario.ca/) for free, confidential support regardless of province.

The registered entity behind this policy

The registered operating company name responsible for data processing under this policy is published in the site footer. Please confirm it there before submitting identity documents, and contact support if anything about the process looks unfamiliar.

For more on how these protections connect to everyday play, see Payments for deposit and withdrawal specifics, Terms and Conditions for the full account rules, and Responsible Gaming for limit-setting tools. Ready to play under these protections? Register here.

Legendz operates under an international gaming licence. The specific licence number and issuing authority are published in the site footer, players should check there before depositing. Canada has no single national regulator for online casinos outside Ontario, so this is worth confirming directly.
